Turning Youth Around

In today’s world, no one is in need of change more than our youth! Our Youth Ministry is focused on
addressing the needs of young people, enabling youth to make a change. At LNCO Church, we
recognize that today’s youth are constantly bombarded with media that promote casual sex, drugs,
misplaced priorities and irresponsibility. We minister to the needs of youth by incorporating REAL®
Issues for Teens during our Sunday School lessons, organized sports leagues, monthly rap
sessions and Youth Explosion weekends.

REAL® Issues for Teens – Sunday School lessons that specifically address the needs, culture and
lifestyles of urban youth.

“Let’s Kick it!” rap session - A forum for young ladies (ages 12-18) designed to discuss issues
that often plague young women, such as: dating, abstinence, peer pressure and self-esteem.

Youth Explosion weekend - Consists of a Social Saturdays’ event, followed by Youth Worship
service on Sunday. Our Youth Worship services are casual, with an up-beat praise and worship
style, and youth-focused message.

Social Saturdays – social events such as Christian Hip-Hop concerts, talent shows, fashion
shows, game-night, bowling and other activities, (See our “Outreach Events” for this month’s event)

Youth Ministry Schedule:

Sunday School – Every Sunday at 9:00a.m.
LNCO Basketball games – Sundays; 3-5 p.m.
Let’s Kick It! Rap session – 7:00 p m. on the 4th Friday of each month
Youth Explosion Weekend – the 4th weekend of every month
Youth Worship Service – 4th Sundays at 10:00 a.m.
